The Master of Music in Performance, Vocal has been designed to provide professional training for performers who wish to concentrate on multiple styles of singing and teaching through focused courses in voice, pedagogy and performance in a Christ-centered environment.

Cognate Areas of Study:
Students will choose six (6) credit hours of additional cognate electives in any combination from the courses listed below:
Music Total Semester Hours: Thirty Eight
Ensemble Participation
1. Vocalists are expected to take four sequential semesters in University Singers.
2. Vocalists are expected to take three sequential semesters in Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop.
Foreign Language Proficiencies
Students are expected to have taken at least one semester of French, German, and Italian as part of their undergraduate studies. If not, they will be required to fulfill that requirement by completing the missing language courses or passing the appropriate CLEP exams.
