Fall Academic Period 2019
Monday, August 19-Friday, December 12

Late Registration/Academic Advisement for Fall Academic Period 2019: August 12 - 15.
Fall Academic Period Ends with Final Grades to Registrar: December 16.

Fall Academic Period Notes:

  1. Institutional Workshop:  August 12-15.
  2. Holidays: Labor Day (September 2); Thanksgiving (November 25-29 - Students; ABSN Students will meet November 25 & 26); University closed 27-29); Christmas (December 20, 23-27, & 30-31); New Year’s Day (January 1).
  3. Fall Break (Classes not in session for Term I):  October 9-11.
  4. Last day to apply for Fall Graduation:  September 13.
  5. Registration for Spring academic periods begins:  October 24.
  6. ACT Residual November 9.
  7. Fall Graduation December 14.
  8. Evening students should consult the class schedule for class dates.
  9. Evening students should consult the registrar’s office and business office concerning drop/add dates and withdrawal from classes.
  10. Final Exams:  December 9-12 for Term I only.

Days the University offices are closed: September 2, November 27-29, December 20; 23-27, & 30-31, 2019, and January 1, 2020.

 

Added and/or Dropped Courses and Withdrawal from the University

Term I

  • Courses dropped after August 30 will receive no refund of tuition. Courses added after August 31 may incur additional tuition and fees. See Business Office.
  • Evening courses dropped after the 3rd class meeting will receive no refund of tuition.
  • Day courses may be added with special permission before August 29 and evening courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting.
  • Day courses may be added or changed to audit without permission before August 23 and evening courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
  • Day courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty by November 5 and evening courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 10th class meeting.


Terms II & III

  • Courses dropped after the eighth day of the term will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition. 
  • Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
  • Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
  • Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 5th class meeting.

A withdrawal is processed when a student ceases attendance before the end of the academic period.

  • Courses dropped after July 8 will receive no refund of tuition.
  • Courses may be added by July 8 without permission.

  • Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty by July 21.

Summer Term IV (8 weeks)

  • Courses dropped by the 8th calendar day will receive no tuition/fee refund.
  • Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
  • Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
  • Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before July 9.

Summer Term V (Full Term)

  • Courses dropped by May 29 will receive no tuition refund.
  • Courses may be added by May 24 without permission.
  • Courses may be changed to audit by May 24.
  • Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty by July 1.

Summer Term VI (6 weeks)

  • Courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will receive no tuition refund.
  • Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
  • Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
  • Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before June 4.

Summer Term VII (6 weeks)

  • Courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will receive no tuition refund.

Summer Term VIII (5 weeks)

Summer Term IX (5 weeks)

  • Courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will receive no tuition refund.
