Notes:

*Students must apply for internship (TE 523 ) at least one academic period (semester) prior to doing the internship. The internship requirements include:

A completed application;
A 3.25 GPA on all graduate courses (with no grade less than a “C”);
Approval by the teacher education council;
Satisfactory completion of all deficiency courses and general studies courses;
Satisfactory completion of approved field experiences;
Passing scores on the Praxis Core Academic Skills test* (taken in TE 525-first semester) and the appropriate Praxis II content knowledge test(s)* (taken in TE 520-within first 12 hours);
Passing score on Praxis II Teaching Reading test* (taken in EE 522)
edTPA - Educator Teacher Performance Assessment* (taken in TE 533).

* A test fee will be added as a Course Fee to billing.

Student teachers begin their assignments when local school systems start even though this start date may be prior to the start date of the university semester.
