EC 306 Labor Economics Credit, three hours. A study of the structure and functioning of labor markets, including the determinants of labor supply and labor demand, the economics of wage differentials, the labor market effects of such government policies as minimum wage laws, and the economic impact of labor unions. Some attention is also given to collective bargaining and causes of unemployment. Prerequisite(s): EC 201 and EC 202 , or by permission of the instructor.
