Credit, three hours. A survey of the development of western philosophical thought within its cultural contexts from the Renaissance to the twentieth century. Philosophical issues such as logic, experience, reality, science, nature, education, and God will be explored in the thought of major philosophers from Descartes to Ricoeur. Prerequisite(s): PY 101.
