Credit, three hours. A survey of the literature of the American South emphasizing the writing of the 20th century Southern Renascence. The course will include consideration of alternative traditions such as the literature of the Creole South and Appalachia. Prerequisite(s): EN 101, EN 102, and three additional hours in literature above the freshman level.
