The following aspects of neurobiology will be featured: resting potentials, action potentials, synaptic transmission, neurotransmitters, sensory transduction, muscle innervation, sensorimotor transformations, and neurophysiological bases of behavior. The neuroism program is a package of programs that will help to illustrate basic principles of neurophysiology and neural networks. The program allows a detailed exploration of aspects of cellular neurobiology beyond the level that time and equipment constraints permit in standard laboratory classes. Cross-listed as: MAR 415 .
