BIO 212 General Biology II Credit, four hours. A study of the fundamental principles of life science. The first academic period (semester) includes cell structure, metabolic processes, genetics, development, and environmental interactions. The second academic period (semester) includes taxonomy and a survey of life forms with emphasis on plants and animals. Under normal circumstances, BIO 211 must be taken before BIO 212. Not open to non-science majors. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory.
