TE 470 Secondary School Teaching: Concepts, Strategies, and Methods This course explores the use of strategies, methods, and materials pertinent for teaching in a middle or high school setting. The student will gain knowledge in working with adolescents and will develop skills in planning, organizing, and critical thinking - all essential components of successful secondary teaching. This course is offered only in the Spring academic period (semester). Requires a minimum of 35 hours of professional laboratory experiences in a school setting. Prerequisite(s): TE 306 , admission into a teacher education program, and students must also be enrolled in TE 471 , TE 472 , TE 473 , or TE 474 during the same academic period (semester). Failure to successfully complete one of these classes will prohibit a student from passing TE 470 . Credit, two hours.
