NU 653 Family Nurse Practitioner III


Credit, seven hours.
This course focuses on the theoretical and clinical foundation of advanced practice nursing management of health promotion, prevention, diagnosis and management of health care problems in the primary care setting common to adult patients, pediatric patients, and women’s health. Students utilize clinical practice guidelines to ensure safe evidence-based care. Interdisciplinary collaboration among health care providers is promoted. Extensive clinical experiences are provided in various acute and community-based settings to prepare the student to assume the role and professional responsibilities of the entry-level family nurse practitioner.
