TE 380 Teaching the Young Child

Credit, three hours
This course emphasizes an integrated approach to early childhood curriculum development ofr young children. Students will gain an understanding of how to integrate early childhood pedagogy and content knowledge to design thematic curriculum. Activity planning, teaching methods, material selection, assessment techniques, and multi-modal engagement strategies to effectively implement an early childhood curriculum will be emphasized. Field experience hours in an approved early childhood setting are required.
