TE 417 Reading Improvement in the Content Areas

Provides assessment and instructional strategies for the teaching of reading in content areas. Techniques for teaching word attack, comprehension, study, and rate of reading skills are emphasized. Requires a minimum of 35 hours of professional laboratory experiences in school settings. Prerequisite(s): TE 305 or TE 306, and admission into a teacher education program. Offered only in the fall academic period (semester). Credit, three hours.
