Admissions requirements for students seeking to pursue their education at UM through UM Global correspond to those for all other UM undergraduates. Graduate program admissions requirements are determined by the corresponding academic areas.
Undergraduate Admission
Recommended Course Load for Students in UM Global
Typical UM Global offerings are scheduled in a format that allows students to complete two courses at a time, for a total of four courses each fall and spring semester, and a total of two courses each summer. Based on this format, the recommended course load for UM Global students is twelve semester hours in the fall, twelve semester hours in the spring, and six semester hours in the summer. This schedule is designed to allow students to progress quickly toward graduation, and it confers full-time status for financial aid purposes.
Financial Aid Information for UM Global Students
Aid available to eligible UM Global students includes the Pell Grant, the Federal Subsidized Loan, and the Federal Unsubsidized Loan. Veterans’ benefits and the Alabama State Grant are also available for those who qualify.
