The Creative Writing minor is open to all majors, and is intended to give aspiring writers the opportunity to develop their writing skills across a variety of forms and mediums, while also equipping them with the skills they’ll need to make it as a professional writer. Creative Writing minors will write fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, and screenplays for film and television. For the final project all aspiring writers will complete a substantial creative work in their area of specialization.

Creative Writing minors are required to complete the following 6 courses (18 hours):
