MUE 121.2 Jazz Band

Credit, one hour.
The jazz band is a performance group open to all students by audition. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of the diverse stylistic approaches of big band jazz from blues, swing and solo ballads to rock, Latin, funk, and fusion arrangements. Performance practices are also emphasized. The band performs for a variety of venues.
