Summer Academic Period 2015
Monday, May 11-Friday, July 31

Late Registration/Academic Advisement for Summer Academic Period 2015: Monday, May 11.
Summer Academic Period Ends with Final Grades to Registrar: August 3.

 Summer Academic Period Notes:

1. Holidays: Memorial Day (May 25), Independence Day (July 3).
2. Terms IV and V classes are in session unless the University is closed.
3. *Beginning/Ending Dates for Terms IV and V overlap.
4. FRESHMEN and TRANSFER Registration date (July 9).
5. ACT Residual July 25.
6. Terms IV, V, VI and VII students should consult the class schedule for class dates.
7. Terms IV, V, VI and VII students should consult the registrar’s office and business office concerning drop/add dates and withdrawal from classes.

Days the University offices are closed:  May 25 and July 3, 2015.

Added and/or Dropped Courses and Withdrawal from the University

Terms I, II, III

• Courses dropped after the 1st day of the term incur a drop fee and receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after the 3rd class meeting will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition.
• Courses may be added before the 4th class meeting without permission.
• Courses may be changed to audit before the 4th class meeting.
• Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 10th class meeting.

Terms IV and V

• Courses dropped after the 1st class meeting will receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition.
• Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
• Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
• Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 5th class meeting.

 Terms VI and VII

• Courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will incur a drop fee and receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after the 3rd class meeting will incur a drop fee and receive no refund of tuition.
• Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
• Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
• Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 8th class meeting.

A withdrawal is processed when a student ceases attendance before the end of the academic period.

 Terms VIII

• Courses dropped on or before the first day of class meeting will incur a drop fee and receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after calendar day 2 to before close of week one of course period will incur a drop fee and receive a 80% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after week 1 but  before close of week 2 of course period will incur a drop fee and receive a 60% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after week 2 of course period will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition.

Fall Academic Period 2015
Monday, August 17-Friday, December 11

Late Registration/Academic Advisement for Fall Academic Period 2015: August 10 - 14.
Fall Academic Period Ends with Final Grades to Registrar: December 14.

Fall Academic Period Notes:

1. Institutional Workshop:  August 10-12.
2. Holidays: Labor Day (September 7); Thanksgiving (November 23-27-Term I, II & IV; November 25-27-Term V; University closed 25-27).
3. Fall Break (Classes not in session for Term I):  October 7-9.
4. Last day to apply for Fall Graduation:  September 11.
5. Registration for Spring and Summer academic periods begins:  October 26.
6. ACT Residual November 7.
7. Terms III, and V classes are in session unless the University is closed. (APSG)
8. Evening students should consult the class schedule for class dates.
9. Evening students should consult the registrar’s office and business office concerning drop/add dates and withdrawal from classes.
10. Final Exams:  December 7-10 for Term I only.

Added and/or Dropped Courses and Withdrawal from the University

Term I

• Courses dropped after the 2nd day of the term will incur a drop fee and receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after August 29 will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition. Courses added after August 29 may incur additional tuition and fees. See Business Office.
• Evening courses dropped after the 2nd class meeting will incur a drop fee and 100% refund of tuition.
• Evening courses dropped after the 3rd class meeting will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition.
• Day courses may be added with special permission before August 27 and evening courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting.
• Day courses may be added or changed to audit without permission before August 21 and evening courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
• Day courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before November 3 and evening courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 10th class meeting.

Terms II, III, IV, and V

• Courses dropped on or before the eighth day of the term will receive a 100% refund of tuition.
• Courses dropped after the eighth day of the term will incur a drop fee and no refund of tuition. 
• Courses may be added before the 2nd class meeting without permission.
• Courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
• Courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 5th class meeting.

A withdrawal is processed when a student ceases attendance before the end of the academic period.

Spring Academic Period 2016
Monday, January 18-Friday, May 13

Late Registration/Academic Advisement for Spring Academic Period 2016: January 11-15.

1. Holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 18-Term I & III), President’s Day (February 9-Term I & III) and Easter holiday (March 25-Terms I & V).
2. Last day to apply for Spring Graduation: February 12.
3. Spring Break (March 7-11-Term I; March 14-18-Term II & IV; March 16-18-Term III & V).
4. Registration for Fall academic period begins: March 28.
5. 50th Graduation: May 14.

• Day courses may be added or changed to audit without permission before January 23 and evening courses may be changed to audit before the 2nd class meeting.
• Day courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before April 6 and evening courses may be dropped without the “F” penalty before the 10th class meeting.
